NCL takes delivery of Norwegian Luna ahead of Miami christening

Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of its newest ship, Norwegian Luna, ahead of its transatlantic crossing this week.

The second Prima Plus Class ship, which has capacity for 3,565 passengers, will embark on its sailing from Rome to Miami on 12 March (Thursday), before its christening on 27 March in Miami.

Norwegian Luna will homeport in Miami this year and will offer a mix of three-and four-day Bahamas voyages as well as seven-night Caribbean itineraries.

The ship features 17 dining venues and 18 bars and lounges, including NCL’s signature French restaurant, Le Bistro and Thai dining venue, Sukhothai.

Activity highlights include the Aqua Slidecoaster – a hybrid waterslide and rollercoaster – and the Luna Midway, an outdoor amusement park-style space with carnival games and the Moon Climber obstacle course.

Norwegian Luna also features the Mandara Spa, an adults-only Vibe Beach Club, and two headline entertainment offerings – Elton: A Celebration of Elton John and HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder, a multimedia show combining cirque-style acrobatics and dance
