HX Expeditions to host 400 agents on fam trip next year

HX Expeditions will host 400 agents from across the UK and Europe on its largest ever fam trip next year.

To mark the company’s 130th anniversary, the line is inviting agents to join the two-night trip on MS Fridtjof Nansen, and says it will be ‘the largest fam trip in expedition-travel history’.

Departing on 5 May 2026, agents will sail from Germany’s Hamburg to the island of Heligoland and the small inlet of Düne.

While on the island, which is in the North Sea, agents will experience activities that guests usually take part in while sailing on Arctic and Antarctic journeys.

There will be shore landing and wildlife encounters, with the chance to see the island’s birds and seal colony.

Onboard there will also be hands-on science sessions such as collecting samples, examining and analysing them under the microscope, and presentations to help agents understand the product.

Northern Europe Sales Director Mark Walter said: “Our 130th birthday year felt like the perfect moment to thank our agents for their ongoing support.

“By inviting them on this Heligoland programme, we’re giving them a clear and genuine insight into the way we travel and what truly sets HX apart.”
