G Adventures is introducing a new expedition ship for its upcoming Antarctica season.
The ship, currently named Ocean Adventurer, will replace G Adventures’ ship Expedition, taking on the Expedition name.
The ship will embark on its first G Adventures departure to Antarctica in October 2025, operating five itineraries.
Itineraries include an 11-day sailing called the ‘Antarctica Classic’, the ‘Spirit of Shackleton’ that sails for 21 days, and a 22-day voyage called the ‘Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica’.
The new 128-passenger ship has been chartered through Danish maritime company SunStone and has undergone major renovations, including brand-new engines fitted.
It features a restaurant, bar, presentation lounge, library, fitness area, observation and sun deck and outdoor jacuzzis.
The 102m-long ship has 70 cabins on board, each with either an ocean-facing porthole or window and ensuite bathrooms. Suites have a sea-view window.
