Fred. Olsen has reintroduced cruises to Greenland, which has seen a surge in interest in recent months.
A survey by the travel publisher Wanderlust, presented at this week’s Expedition Cruise Network conference, found it was the top choice of 70% of readers planning an expedition cruise.
Fred. Olsen has included the remote island in a 14-night sailing on Borealis from Liverpool, departing on 5 July 2027.
The cruise is featured in the line’s 2027 programme, which has just been launched.
In total, the programme includes 70 cruises from Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Newcastle and Rosyth.
Other highlights include a cruise timed with Malta’s carnival, and a unique itinerary visiting nine Northern European countries in 13 nights.
The line is also offering an expanded selection of shorter cruises – five nights or fewer – scheduled around UK bank holidays.
Head of Product Innovation Martin Lister said: “We’ve also included moments at the top of so many travellers’ lists – from husky sledding under the Northern Lights and spotting humpback whales in the Atlantic, to sailing through Norway’s scenic waterways. There’s so much to discover, and we’re excited to share these experiences with our guests.”
For guests booking by 30 October, Fred. Olsen’s Freedom Fare Price Promise means the line will honour the difference if a lower fare or additional benefits – such as onboard spending or drinks packages – are introduced later.
