Emerald Cruises new ship Emerald Astra will debut on 3 May 2026, sailing from Budapest to five countries on its way to Bucharest.
Key highlights of the inaugural cruise include a Puszta Horse Show in Kalocsa, lunch at the home of a local Croatian family in Osijek, a guided tour in Belgrade with a Serbian folklore show onboard and a choir concert in Arbanasi.
Emerald has launched a ‘Luxury Defined’ campaign to promote its 2026 river cruises, which offers savings of up to 30%, free flights and a free premium drinks package or €200 onboard credit.
Its wider fleet of Star-ships will be upgraded in 2026, with enhanced spaces, new technology, and contemporary décor.
