Crystal has announced construction of the first of its two new-build ships will start in May 2026.
The line has already announced the yet-to-be-named 690-passenger ship will join the fleet in May 2028 and will be built by Italian shipyard, Fincantieri.
The steel cutting of the ship will take place in May next year, with the keel laying in December 2026.
Crystal said further details on the inaugural voyage and new suite categories will be released by the end of the year, with the 2028 season due to go on sale in spring 2026.
It is the first new ship in 25 years for the cruise line, which was acquired by A&K Travel Group in 2022.
A&K Travel Group CEO Cristina Levis said: “Behind the scenes, our teams have been working diligently on every element of this extraordinary project – from design and craftsmanship to technical innovation. These milestones represent more than construction progress; they are a testament to our shared commitment with Fincantieri to deliver the most exceptional ship at sea, on schedule and with an unparalleled attention to detail.”
