Celebrity ships to get $250 million revamp

Celebrity Cruises is investing more than $250 million to renovate its Solstice Series ships.

Celebrity Solstice will be the first ship to benefit, with upgrades being made to outdoor spaces and suites, and new restaurants and onboard experiences will be added in 2026.

New entertainment venue Boulevard Lounge will have daytime activities like game shows and candlelit concerts in the evenings. The Boulevard Bar will be nearby, with sports bar Celebrity Barcade also onboard.

New places to eat will include Italian restaurant Trattoria Rossa and the Fine Cut Steakhouse.

Meanwhile, the top deck will be transformed into Sunset Park, offering food, lawn games and open-air concerts. New private cabanas will also be added, while the Sunset Bar is set to be expanded.

The Retreat will also be reimagined with enhanced suites, while a new Retreat Sundeck will have outdoor seating, exclusive for guests of The Retreat. The Retreat Lounge will also be redesigned.

Four brand-new stateroom categories will also be introduced, including the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, the Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Suite, the Panoramic Ocean View Suite and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View. The AquaClass Staterooms will also be given an update.

Itineraries include the 110-night sailing through 55 unrepeated ports on The Grand Voyage from September to December 2026.

Celebrity Cruises President Laura Hodges Bethge said: “Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this vacation experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements at every turn.

“Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.”
