Aqua Expeditions to launch sixth ship in 2026

Aqua Expeditions will be launching its sixth vessel Aqua Lares in February 2026.

The 774m Aqua Lares will have capacity for 30 guests across its 15 suites and will have a one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio.

Guests aboard the subperyacht will be led on on small group excursions, with onboard equipment including five private tenders, three Zodiacs, two Rafnar Tenders, diving gear and mountain bikes.

According to Aqua Expeditions, which is part of Ponant Explorations Group, Aqua Lares will be the first ultra-luxe expedition yacht available to book by the cabin in the Seychelles.

Guests will be able to book five-, nine-, 10- and 11-night voyages through the Seychelles, Aldabra Atoll and Zanzibar, Tanzania.

The five-night itinerary explores the Seychelles’ inner islands, including Praslin and La Digue, with its nine-night expedition visiting the Seychelles’ Outer Islands. Its extended 10 and 11-night sailings link the Seychelles with the Zanzibar Archipelago and Tanzania.

CEO and Founder Galli Zugaro said: “The launch of Aqua Lares marks an exciting new chapter for Aqua Expeditions – uniting our commitment to luxury exploration with the thrill of discovering uncharted frontiers.

“East Africa has held a special place in my heart since my first safari at age seven, and it’s surreal to now return with our own expedition yacht. From the wild beauty of the Seychelles to Aldabra Atoll’s 150,000 giant tortoises, this region offers a rare kind of adventure – one that perfectly complements our voyages in the Galapagos and Indonesia.”
