Passengers travelling to airports across the country are facing severe disruption this week as union strike action shuts down train lines.

There is no service operating on Heathrow Express today while services from 20:57 to 23:59 on 6 October will also be stopped due to industrial action. Trains on 7 October will not operate until 07:10, and services on 8 October will only operate between 07:27 to 18:30.

There will be a regular Southern and Thameslink service at Gatwick Airport station today, while all Gatwick Express and Great Northern trains are running today. Express trains to and from the airport will not run at all on 8 October.

No Northern Rail services to Manchester Airport will run today and Northern Rail strike action is yet to be confirmed for 8 October. TransPennine Express services to the airport on both days are subject to change and are limited.

Passengers travelling to Stansted have been told to avoid travelling on the Stansted Express today as just one train per hour will run in each direction between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport. Trains on 6 October will start running after 7am, while just one train per hour will run in each direction on 8 October.

CrossCountry, Avanti West Coast, and West Midlands Railway which serve Birmingham International are not running today and will run significantly reduced services on 8 October. Transport for Wales trains to and from Birmingham Airport will run today but services will be stopped on 8 October.

Thameslink services between London and Luton Airport are running as normal today, but Thameslink will be reducing its service to two trains per hour between St Pancras International and Luton Airport on 8 October owing to the RMT strike.
